I have an ID Mate Omni and adore it. It's things like this that bother me. There should be a place where such technology is sent, so that it can be given to those who cannot afford the newer models. In the case of the Omni especially,, you can still update it with the latest list of bar codes, buy labels that work for it, etc. Not everyone has $1,200 lying around, no matter how incredibly amazingly useful a talking bar code scanner may be.

agreed. I was able to sell it for $130 and I'm just glad it went to a good home.
I'm not looking to make insane profit, I really just want to get stuff out to someone who will get good use of cheap tech.
